what's in a name?

Throughout my childhood I spent every Friday night at my grandparents farm. I'm an only child [see: my parents needed a break] and I adored my Poppy & Nana, I couldn't wait to get there Friday after school and I hated leaving on Saturday morning. They had a beautiful horse farm in Effingham that they took great pride in. My grandfather had always wanted a farm and his love for it came through in every detail - the horses were meticulously groomed and cared for, the fences were always painted, the lawn was always mowed (often by me). Before he had a farm he had a retail store that specialized in tailored suiting and menswear. After selling the store, doing a 180 and diving head first into the horse business he fondly named it.....Atlasta Farm (at-last-a-farm).You get it.

I made a pivot from my corporate job in the summer of 2024 to take a chance. To double down on my years of learning and experience. It was a tough decision, one that sometimes scares me today. When thinking of name for this next chapter, Atlasta was the only one that spoke to me. It had history.
History that spoke to me, mirrored me, and challenged me.
From my grandmother, I honed keen eye for detail and an appreciation for aesthetics. From their time on the farm, and of course, my parents, I learned the value of hard work - that some jobs aren't glamourous but need to be done, and the reward of building something great is worth the occasional pain endured.Let's build Together.
